英汉文字编码浅析

文字,是对有声语言补充的交际工具,主要用以把言语传到远方并传之久远,它是借助线条符号或图像表达言语的各种成分来实现的。随着人类社会的不断发展以及语言文字的不断完善,文字体系逐渐形成,即指“代表一种语言中的语音、音节或单词的书写符号的体系。”(Richards,2002,513)文字体系的形成及完善经历了一个漫长的过程,我们今天所说的三大文字体系是指:拼音文字;音节文字;表意文字。

Text is a communicative tool that supplements vocal language. It is mainly used to transmit words to distant places and to transmit them for a long time. It is achieved by means of line symbols or images expressing various components of speech. With the continuous development of human society and the continual improvement of language, the writing system gradually formed, which means “a system of writing symbols that represent a phonetic, syllable, or word in one language.” (Richards, 2002, 513) The formation and perfection of the system have undergone a long process. The three major text systems we refer to today mean: pinyin, syllabic and ideographic.
