阿克苏市位于新疆维吾尔自治区西南部,天山南麓、塔里木盆地西北边缘冲积平原上。北靠温宿县,南邻阿瓦提县,西与柯坪、乌什两县毗连,东与新和、沙雅两县接壤,东南部深入塔克拉玛干大沙漠与和田地区的洛浦,策勒两县交界。阿克苏市辖区总面积1.8万平方公里,其中绿洲面积为8689.25平方公里,荒漠面积为8380平方公里,总耕地面积156.9万亩,人均耕地面积为4.1亩。全市总人口54.35万人(市属人口为24.23万人),其中少数民族人口22.01万人,占总人口的40.5％。
Aksu City is located in the southwestern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, south of Tianshan Mountains, on the northwestern margin of the Tarim Basin alluvial plain. North of Wusu County, south of Awati County, west and Keping, Wushi two counties adjacent to the East and the new and Shaya counties bordering the southeastern Taklamakan Desert and Hotan Luopu, Cele Two counties at the junction. Akesu area total area of 18000 square kilometers, of which oasis area of 8689.25 square kilometers, the desert area of 8380 square kilometers, the total cultivated area of 156.9 hectares, the per capita arable land area of 4.1 acres. The city’s total population of 543,500 (municipal population of 242,300), of which 221,100 were ethnic minorities, accounting for 40.5% of the total population.
