January 17, 2015, China Gerontology Society issued a public notice confirming Yizhou, Guangxi and other counties and cities as “the hometown of longevity in China.” On March 20, the awarding ceremony and press conference were held in Yizhou, Yizhou became Guangxi’s 19th “Home of Longevity in China”. As of this date, 19 counties (cities) in Guangxi have been awarded the title of “Hometown of Longevity in China” and account for one third of the nationwide “Hometown of Longevity in China”. According to the second edition of the “Home of Longevity in China” published by the China Gerontology Society, the “Hometown of Longevity in China” accounted for 100% of the total elderly people
