由上海翻译家协会和上海文艺评论家协会主办的“再登巴别塔——文学翻译的现状与未来”研讨会近日在文艺会堂召开,与会专家从不同角度阐释了各自见解。巴别塔是宗教传说中的高塔,《圣经·旧约·创世记》宣称,当时人类联合起来兴建希望能通往天堂的高塔;为了阻止人类的计划,上帝让人类说不同的语言,使人类相互之间不能沟通,计划因此失败,人类自此各散东西。此故事试图为世上出现不同语言和种族提供解释。
Recently organized by the Shanghai Translator’s Association and the Shanghai Literature Critics Association, Seminar “Re-embarked on the Tower of Babel, Present and Future of Literary Translation” was held in the Literature Hall recently. The participating experts explained their opinions from different angles. Babel is the tower of religious legends, and Bible Old Testament Genesis claims that at that time humans united to build the tower of hope to heaven, and to keep humanity from speaking in different languages in order to stop humanity’s plans , So that human beings can not communicate with each other, thus failing in the plan. Since then, human beings have scattered everything. This story seeks to provide an explanation of the different languages and races in the world.
