玉米矮花叶病(MDMV)几乎分布于美州各地。在美国除阿拉斯加外,都已有此病的报道,但在墨西哥,就没有此病的正式报道。作者于1980年7—11月在国际玉米小麦改良中心(以下简称“中心”)访问期间发现此病毒病。后又在“中心”的温室做接种试验,证明是MDMV-A。作者感谢“中心”卡罗斯·里昂博士(Dr.Carlos DeLeon)的热情鼓励及提宝贵意见,感谢墨西哥国立大学农学院研究生院贾林道教授(Dr.Jorge Galindo)指导拍摄病原照片。
Maize dwarf mosaic disease (MDMV) is distributed throughout the United States. In the United States except Alaska, the disease has been reported, but in Mexico, there is no official report of the disease. The virus was found during an interview with the International Corn and Wheat Improvement Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Center”) in July-November 1980. Inoculation tests were then conducted in the “Center” greenhouse, proving to be MDMV-A. The author thanks Dr.Carlos DeLeon, Director of the Center, for his enthusiastic encouragement and valuable comments, and thanks Dr.Jorge Galindo, Graduate School of Agronomy, National University of Mexico, for guiding the filming of the etiology.
