Reports from China Building Materials Daily reported that a consortium of several European companies jointly launched recently a high-performance, light-weight sheet molding compound, SMC composite plastic. The material has high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, long life, good insulation properties, product design flexibility and easy-scale production. Members of the consortium include Faurecia, France, and two German companies, Polynt and Mahr Metering Systems,
