阿马蒂亚·森从自由视角对发展问题的重新阐发,既是对狭隘发展观的一次抗争,更是对人类生存困境的深层反思。在其自由发展观中,森精致、简明而范围广泛地阐述了发展就其本性而言是自由的增长,恰当地构想了发展对自由完全不怀敌意,相反,发展就是拓展实质自由的过程。由此,森结合经济学和伦理学的工具,在发展问题的讨论中重构了伦理层面,指明了经济人向自由人发展的历史趋向。
Amartya Sen’s redevelopment of development issues from a liberal perspective is not only a struggle against the narrow concept of development, but also a deep reflection on the predicament of human existence. In his concept of free development, Sen exquisite, concise and broadly expounded the growth of development as free from its own nature, properly envisioned the development of freedom without any hostility at all, and, on the contrary, the development of substantive freedom. As a result, Sen combined the tools of economics and ethics to reconstruct the ethical dimension of the debate on development issues and to indicate the historical trend of the economic man’s development toward free people.
