这篇文章主要研究了两种不同形式的书面练习对于在规定时间内记忆第二语言词汇的影响,主要目的是研究哪一种练习类型在规定时间内对第二语言词汇记忆的影响更大。研究结果显示:最重要的是目标词语在第二语言词汇练习中的反复出现,而不是目标词语的深加工。而不同的练习类型可能是影响第二语言词汇记忆的一个因素,另一个因素是花费在练习上的时间长短。所以作者想要通过研究获知哪一个因素对于第二语言词汇记忆更重要。来自4所不同大学的154名学生参与了这项研究,结果显示在时间限制的情况下,填空题比句子写作更容易帮助第二语言学习者记住目标词汇。这个研究只注重动词及两种书面练习,建议以后的相关研究可以涉及其他词性研究及不同种类的书面练习。
The main purpose of this article is to study the effect of two different forms of written exercises on remembering second language words within a specified period of time. The main purpose of this article is to study which type of exercises exerts a greater influence on second language vocabulary memory within a specified time frame. The results show that: the most important thing is the repetition of the target words in the second language vocabulary exercises, rather than the deep processing of the target words. Different types of exercises may be one factor that affects the second language vocabulary memory. The other factor is the length of time spent practicing. So the author wants to know which one of the factors is more important for second-language vocabularies through research. 154 students from four different universities participated in the study and found that under the time constraints, it is easier for blank fill questions to help second language learners remember the target vocabulary than to write sentences. This research only focuses on verbs and two written exercises. It is suggested that future related studies may involve other parts of speech research and different types of written exercises.
