Friendship is an important part of an individual’s social and emotional world. Children learn how to interact, interact, express their opinions and live in harmony by establishing, maintaining friendship and handling conflicts among friends. A British study interviewed 78 children aged 8 to 9 in three primary schools in London to explore how pupils differentiated their friendship groups in a diverse school environment. The study found that children in this age group have been able to recognize the social and cultural differences with the surrounding companions, but these differences in children’s cognition of friendship, emotional experience, conflict and communication patterns
