世界贸易组织(WTO)成立于1995年,其前身是1948年生效的关税及贸易协定(GATT)。50多年来,WTO由27个成员发展到137个成员,成为世界上惟一处理国与国之间贸易规则的国际组织,有人称它为“经济联合国”。中国原是关贸总协定的创始缔约国之一,后来中断了,1986年7月提出恢复关贸总协定缔约方地位的申请,从而开始了长达14年的艰难曲折的复关人世谈判。在“入世”谈判过程中,中国始终坚持三条原则:(1)世界贸易组
The World Trade Organization (WTO) was established in 1995. Its predecessor was the tariff and trade agreement (GATT) that came into force in 1948. For more than 50 years, the WTO has grown from 27 members to 137 members. It has become the only international organization in the world that deals with trade rules among countries. Some people call it the “economic UN”. China was originally one of the founding parties to the GATT, but it was later interrupted. In July 1986, it filed an application for resuming GATT status as a party to the GATT agreement. This led to 14 years of difficult and tortuous human relations negotiations. In the “WTO accession” negotiations, China has always adhered to three principles: (1) World Trade Group
