Foreword: Hello! Friends! I am Sam Walton, founder and chairman of the Warmart Group. Since we opened the first Walmart, for thirty years we have grown from a small department store to the largest department store chain in the world today thanks to the tireless efforts of all our associates. This is indeed a miracle. I think we did leave some fascinating and special things in Wal-Mart and I think it should be shared by more people. Over the years, especially after I was referred to as the richest man in the United States, there were many speculations about me and my impolite anecdotal evidence about speculation, paradoxical reporting, and even mythical speculation. Now that I’m fighting cancer, I will not be young anymore. My family and friends kept urging me to persuade me to write down the real story of Walter Matter in time.
