中英城市社区卫生服务与贫困救助(UHPP)项目于2001年8月正式启动,经过5年的共同努力,各试点(成都、沈阳、银川、西宁)在改善社区卫生服务和贫困人口医疗救助方面均取得了显著成效,并且有力地推动了相关部委在社区卫生服务和医疗贫困救助方面相关政策的开发、研究和推广。2006年7月31日,UHPP项目成都、沈阳试点工作顺利结束,本次论坛的主要目的是评价成都和沈阳在项目推广的实施方案和成果,并就如何在全国范围内推广社区卫生服务和医疗贫困救助进行研讨。
The China-UK Urban Community Health Service and Poverty Relief (UHPP) project was officially launched in August 2001. After five years of joint efforts, the pilot sites (Chengdu, Shenyang, Yinchuan, and Xining) improved community health services and medical assistance for the poor. All have achieved remarkable results and have effectively promoted the development, research, and promotion of relevant ministries and commissions in relation to community health services and medical poverty relief. On July 31, 2006, UHPP projects in Chengdu and Shenyang were successfully completed.
