市委书记薄熙来在市委三届八次全委会上指出,直辖以来,在党中央、国务院的坚强领导和关心支持下,历届市委、市政府一茬接着一茬,先后带领全市广大干部群众苦干创业,打下了重要的工作基础。“十一五”期间,市委、市人大、市政府、市政协密切配合,全市人民顽强拼搏,咱重庆又取得重大进步,提前一年完成“十一五”规划的主要目标,取得重大成效。
