他是知名的画家,笔下的动物惟妙惟肖,自成一派。他是申奥标志“太极人”和奥运福娃的设计者,还主持设计了奥运火炬内地传递首站─三亚的标志性雕塑“火凤凰”。他13岁当兵,15岁当小学美术老师,只上过三个月初中的他19岁考上了中央工艺美术学院(现为清华大学美术学院)。他在“文化大革命”期间坐了四年零七个月的牢。1979年,他第一次开了自己的个人画展。他就是画家韩美林。他是画家却从不卖画,涉猎领域广泛,包括雕塑、陶瓷、标志设计等。面对专业者的质疑,韩美林笑称自己是“杂牌军”。在夫人眼中,韩美林是一个“心直口快、到处惹祸的孩子”。如今,这个经历过常人无法想象的生活磨难的人,仍微笑着面对人生的酸甜苦辣。
He is a well-known painter, writing animals vivid, self-contained. He is the designer of the Olympic bid symbol “Tai Chi Man” and the Olympic Fuwa. He also presided over the design of the “Phoenix”, the landmark sculpture in Sanya, the first stop of the Olympic torch relay. He is a painter but never sold paintings, covering a wide range of areas, including sculpture, ceramics, logo design. In the face of professional questions, Han Meilin jokes that he is “brand-name army ”. In the eyes of his wife, Han Meilin is a “heart straight mouth, everywhere trouble children ”. Nowadays, this person who experienced the unimaginable hardships of life still smiles and confronts the ups and downs of life.
