Abstract Objective To hypothesize that anatomic variations in cerebrovascular vessels may cause retrograde embolization of the descending aorta (DAo) plaque in some patients and that this study will validate this hypothesis. Methods 35 patients with cryptogenic stroke [age (63 ± 17) years] were enrolled in this study. All patients underwent 4D blood
