October 3, 1978 US IBM announced the IBM8100 series machines, known as the IBM360 series since the landmark series of small machines. The machine is installed in a one-meter-high chassis, including the central processing unit, additional disk and tape devices, much more compact than the previous minicomputer. Like a stereo speaker, connect to a 100 volt power supply and work in a normal room. This is particularly emphasized by the company.
