When I asked the pen to preface this book, the first thing I came to think of was my knowledge of Dr. Cui Nangui, the author of this book, because that was pure and accidental. At the end of 1996, when I was in South Korea, I went to the seaside town of Guangyang to attend a symposium on ancient Chinese culture. At that meeting, I met Cui Nangui, a lecturer in the Department of Chinese at Chonbuk University, and immediately said he was going to worship me as a teacher. I looked at Choi’s business card and knew that he had a Ph.D. degree in Taiwan’s Tokai University and thought he was just polite to me. He did not expect two weeks later, he also drove two hours to visit my apartment. He reiterated his intention to go to Nanjing University to learn Chinese classical literature and said that he was studying under the guidance of Professor Zhou Huagao. Phonology, now want to improve in Chinese classical literature
