金雄波(浙江省萧山县环境保护监测站)报道:浙江工艺鞋厂建厂初期只顾抓生产,忽视防护措施设置,致使总装车间苯气体浓度高达1,531mg/m~3。投产不到半年,有81名工人的白细胞数在4.5×10~9/L(4500/mm~3)以下,占接触苯作业工人的38.4％。经杭州市职业病防治院诊断为重度苯中毒5人,轻度中毒12人,疑似中毒17人,患再生障碍性贫血住院抢救的4人,其中由医院发出“病危通知书”的有2人。为此,市、县经委责成该厂总装车间停产整顿。
