The history discipline plays an indispensable role in cultivating students’ innovative spirit and innovative ability. Combining several years of teaching practice, the author talks about how to cultivate students’ innovative ability in history classroom teaching and talk about some of their own practices, only for the reference of their peers. First, skillfully set up situations to guide students to participate in the subject. The essence of history teaching is the teaching of historical thinking activities. Therefore, students’ innovation must be cultivated.
