Contemporary art emphasizes the value orientation by paying attention to the current living environment and mental state and criticizes the social alienation infiltrated in our life and ideology in various ways. Criticism is only one aspect, and where should the contemporary art go after the criticism? This is a reflection on the establishment of “the road to modern Chinese art”. Whether a work is modern or not is not new in its form or language, nor is it necessary to cross the threshold between abstraction and figurativeness, only to see if it contains typical issues in contemporary culture.
