Antler antler is a unique organ, has important biological significance. Antler growth is a complex biological metabolic process, the weight and genetic factors are related. In this study, five populations of Cervus nippon, which were basically the same as farmed, were investigated. 100 high-yielding and low-yielding sika deer individuals were obtained, and genetic variation of antler weight was analyzed by genome-wide recombination. The results showed that there were 94 genetic variations that may be related to the weight of pilose antlers, of which 2 were located in the exon of OAS2 and ALYREF / THOC4 genes, respectively, and the ALYREF / THOC4 gene was highly expressed in pilose antlers . Functional enrichment analysis found that these genetic variations are closely related to the growth and development of velvet antlers, and may be used as potential weight-related genetic variations in antler velvet. This study, for the first time, directly screened genetic variation related to weight of antler by genome-wide recombination and analyzed the biological function of related genes, which is of great significance to reveal the genetic mechanism of antler growth and weight variation.
