为了获得一种体积小、重量很轻的微波合成器,已研制了两种新型多功能单片GaAs MMIC和LSI。MMIC(单片微波集成电路)包括压控振荡器、双输出缓冲放大器、平衡一不平衡变换器和动态/静态预定标器。为了把这些功能集成在一个单片上,利用一种单面MMIC结构,就使每个电路的尺寸大大减小。LSI(大规模集成电路)包括双模预定标器、可编程计数器和相位/频率比较器。通过将这两个单片并入到一个结构上,一种Ku波段微波合成器便成功地制造在一个11×23mm~2的平面封装内。
In order to obtain a small, lightweight microwave synthesizer, two new multi-functional monolithic GaAs MMICs and LSIs have been developed. MMICs include voltage controlled oscillators, dual output buffer amplifiers, baluns, and dynamic / static prescaler. In order to integrate these functions into a single chip, the size of each circuit is greatly reduced by using a single-sided MMIC structure. LSI (Large Scale Integration) includes dual modulus prescaler, programmable counter and phase / frequency comparator. By incorporating the two monoliths into a single structure, a Ku-band microwave synthesizer was successfully fabricated in a flat 11 × 23mm ~ 2 package.
