文化是语言形成的基本前提,因此对于我国大学生来说,要充分掌握一门外语,就需要对该语言的文化背景进行充分了解,进而缩小大学生与语言对象人群之间的文化差异。但是根据笔者多年的教学经验可以发现,当前我国高校的英语教学中,跨文化意识存在严重不足的现象,大部分教师都仅仅是进行英语知识的教授,对西方文化的介绍与教学存在缺失,这也导致我国大学生在毕业以后实际上与西方国家进行人际社交过程中存在较大障碍。本文正是通过对跨文化意识的相关介绍来分析大学英语教学跨文化意识培养的具体思路,进而为促进大学生英语应用能力提高提供参考。
Culture is the basic premise of language formation. Therefore, to fully grasp a foreign language, it is necessary for our undergraduates to fully understand the cultural background of the language and to narrow the cultural differences between the college students and the target audience. However, according to the author’s years of teaching experience, we can find that there is a serious shortage of cross-cultural awareness in English teaching in colleges and universities. Most of the teachers are only professors who have knowledge of English, and there is a lack of introduction and teaching of western culture. Also lead to our college students after graduation in fact with western countries in the process of social interaction there is a big obstacle. This paper analyzes the concrete train of thought of cultivating cross-cultural awareness in college English teaching through the introduction of cross-cultural awareness, and then provides a reference for promoting the improvement of college students’ English ability.
