Sisters really do not want to look at the old two can not bear to see the words, but still have to live to day, day and night to sing night. So there Xiaoganggui’s death, there are many sisters reduced. As for the arts, it was almost suffocated by the pale and vulgar fog, as well as carving and losing its loneliness as a performer. Some of our sisters are unwilling to strive for survival and endeavor to promote reforms. They cherish certain ideals in art and in their life. Therefore, they are hostile to and opposed by Kuomintang reactionaries and the evil forces in society. Now when I walked Huaihai Road where the pseudo-Social Bureau was, I still could not help but think of some old things. In 1947, I and some comrades in the Yue Opera world could not bear to endure. Together, we worked hard to prevent the drama from wilting. We performed “Love in Mountains and Rivers”, prepared to run theaters, set up Shaoxing Opera School, For further innovation
