毛泽东关于经济方面的论述很多。而其中的精髓之一便是“自力更生”理论。自力更生这一光辉思想是毛泽东同志根据当时的中国实际情况提出来的、有利于经济发展的一种方法论。在中国革命和建设史上有着举足轻重的地位,今天它仍是我们各项工作的指导方针。 这一理论的最初形成渊源于民主革命时期。那时有很多人向国外寻求他国帮助,企求借外部力量进行革命,未能如愿以偿,而毛泽东则深信革命必须依靠自己的力量,外国力量是应该争取的,但都不可能作为革命的主要依靠和动力。
