地理学是研究地理环境以及人类活动与地理环境相互关系的科学。它具有两个显著的特点:综合性和地域性。现代社会要求人们能够在科学地认识人口、资源、环境、社会相互协调发展的基础上,树立可持续发展观念,形成文明的生活与生产方式。地理科学的迅速发展和地理信息技术的广泛应用对高中地理课程改革提出了富有挑战性的新课题。
Geography is a science that studies the geographical environment and the interrelationship between human activities and the geographical environment. It has two salient features: comprehensive and regional. In modern society, people are required to establish a concept of sustainable development and form a civilized life and mode of production based on a scientific understanding of the coordinated development of population, resources, environment and society. The rapid development of geography and the wide application of geography information technology have posed challenging new topics for the reform of geography curriculum in senior high schools.
