孟江油茶为普通油茶的一个地方良种,分布于三江县孟江河沿岸。以油质优良,色清芳香、无涩味而闻各。历史上销售香港,深受欢迎。产区群众把它作为优良地方品种而积极发展,近几年调种几十万斤到各地试种。为适应油茶生产发展的需要,我们从1975年起对孟江油茶进行调查研究、鉴定工作。现将初步结果简述于下。
