Without a doubt, email, which is the most common use of the Internet, has been widely used in business, administration, language education and even every aspect of social life. Though we have seen many innovative ideas for the use of email in EFT classroom, it is still difficult for English teachers in China to keep track of what these innovations and how they might benefit the second language learners. This paper tries to find ways to teach English writing through email. Some suggestions about how to make better use of the email in writing classes are also given.
