每当辞旧迎新和特殊庆典时刻,欢乐的中国人总忘不了隆重敲响那口最珍爱的永乐大钟。激越、磅礴、沉雄、嘹亮,带着恍若天外的神秘感和历史深处的沧桑感,一声声覆盖百里京华这时候,四面八方的吉祥喜庆之声便有了庄严的领奏。多么令人生敬又令人生畏的一口大钟。它诞生在岁月的另一端。580多年前,以派遣郑和下西洋和编纂《永乐大典》而昭彰史册的的明成祖朱棣,为炫耀自己的文治武功,并为迁都北京肇基定鼎,下令铸造了这口无与伦比的大钟。它既是朝钟,又是佛钟。遥想当年这座庞然大物轰然响起的时候,曾经以何等慑人心魄的威严,诏告着皇权显赫与皇恩浩荡,也宣示着神权至上和佛法无边。悠悠5个世纪过去了。今天,我们肃然仰望这个形貌苍占的明代孑遗,仍然仿佛看到一个巨大而苍莽的惊叹号,沉沉垂挂在天地之间!
