A Computer-based PROMIS-PRO duction Management Information System was successfully developed by Infogold, a computer services arm of Anglo American Gold and Uranium Division in South Africa. This article describes some of the rationales for establishing such a system for preparing a schedule of mine plans and production, as well as some of the functions of the system.
