以色列是全球公认的缺水国家,怎样解决缺水问题一直考验着以色列人的智慧。20世纪60年代,以色列就开始研究海水淡化技术,现在这方面的世界领先地位已毋庸置疑。以色列不但有大量的海水淡化厂,还是最先进的海水淡化技术输出国。作者是在位于海法市的以色列理工大学就读的中国留学生,今年将攻读水资源与环境专业的硕士学位,他对以色列如何处理缺水问题颇有感触。
Israel is a globally recognized water-scarcer country. How to tackle the problem of water shortage has always tested the Israeli wisdom. In the 1960s, Israel began to study seawater desalination technology, and now the world’s leading position in this respect is beyond doubt. Israel not only has a large number of desalination plants, but also is the most advanced desalination technology exporter. The author, a Chinese student studying at the Technion University in Haifa, will study for a master’s degree in water resources and the environment this year. He is very concerned about how Israel deals with water shortages.
