When the flowering Helianthus annuus was treated with a trace amount of concentrated methyl 1605, it was found that an average loss of 460 near the beehive was found. Sunflower fields near the beehive were treated with emulsifiable concentrate methyl 1605 and lost an average of 1990 bees.
