The Orange County Law Library is located in Santa Ana, California. It overlooks the city center of the county and displays a sturdy, ingrained image that resembles a huge rock. The law is built on this solid foundation. The main material of the building makes its image even taller, that is, the prefabricated concrete decorated with a vertical window frame with slotted plywood. Different light-colored concrete with white particles was sprayed onto the wall to enhance the contrast. “The external mass of the building reflects its internal activities,” said Allen. Since its establishment in 1973, the building has received numerous honors and awards and has become a milestone in contemporary architecture.
