High-resolution echo sounding, lateral sonar and shallow section profile records reveal for the first time that there are a large number of micromorphological types with different morphology developed on the underwater slopes of the Yellow River mouth. According to their differences in morphological characteristics and scale, they are divided into five types: smooth seafloor, depression and depression, gully, residual hillock and disturbance seafloor. These microgeomorphic distribution in different water depth under different submarine delta units, and there are interrelated and mutual transformation. The special depositional environment and complicated dynamic conditions in the Yellow River Estuary are the main mechanisms leading to the formation and development of microtopography in the underwater slope.
