Heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, manganese and chromium are widely used in industrial production and daily life, and are common metal pollutants in the environment. We have reported that lead, cadmium and chromium have an immunotoxic effect on the overall phagocytic function of the monocyte-macrophage system (MPS) in vivo. In this study, the effects of cadmium, lead, manganese and chromium on the T lymphocyte and humoral immune function in mice were further studied by using peripheral blood lymphocyte acid a-naphtholipase (ANAE) and serum hemolysin assay.
