几十年来,蓝天野在北京人艺的舞台上先后塑造了《北京人》中的曾文清,《茶馆》中的秦仲义,《蔡文姬》中的董祀,《王昭君》中的呼韩邪单于等众多鲜明的人物形象。还在《钦差大臣》、《罗密欧与朱丽叶》、《小市民》等外国名著中担任主角。导演过《针锋相对》、《贵妇还乡》等话剧。蓝天野先后演过70多部话剧,其中最可圈可点的自然是《茶馆》。一锅老汤,一壶酽茶,一幕震撼人心的人间悲喜剧在百年老店“裕泰大茶馆”里上演。一个大茶馆,展示的一个小社会,一台三幕话剧,讲述的是旧中国的历史变迁。40多位演员用他们的欢笑和泪水,把一幅浸透了人世沧桑的老北京历史民俗画卷展示在观众的面前。
