In the historical process of the eastern edge of the Tibetan-Yi corridor in recent years, the impetus of the Chinese community should not be underestimated. By the end of Ming Dynasty, Chinese immigrants settled in the lower reaches of the Zagunao River Basin in northwestern Sichuan and formed a family and settlement. “Xuecheng seven surnames ” is one of the typical, in the interaction with the surrounding non-Han Chinese, they contributed to the commercial sprout of Xuecheng, the first town in this basin. The increasingly well-established town facilities, increasingly rich marketplace flavor, in turn shaped the social structure within the Han Chinese. The discussion of the modern Xuecheng town and Han society is an important part of understanding the historical process of the Tibetan-Yi corridor.
