目前,在我国大学英语教学中普遍存在一个误区:注重语法分析、句法分析、难句析疑和理解课文的字面文义,对课文中的隐含意义及其非字面内涵不够重视,由此造成学生在各种考试中,对直接源于阅读材料字面文义的试题正确率较高,对阅读材料中转折、推理性试题的失误率较大,反映出学生理解程度肤浅的问题。针对这一现象,选取适宜的阅读理论为指导,加强学生在阅读中创造性思维能力的培养,拓宽阅读理解的空间和层次,应成为提高大学英语阅读教学质量的
