回族是我国民族大家庭的重要成员,现有人口7,219,352人。回族又是我国分布最广的少数民族,主要居住在我国西北的宁夏、甘肃、青海和新疆,部分散居在北京、河北、山东和云南等省区以及全国各地。解放后,在党的民族政策光辉照耀下,建立了宁夏回族自治区和新疆昌吉、甘肃临夏两个回族自治州,六个回族自治县,分别同彝、苗等民族建立了三个自治县。散居各地的回族人民充分享受着民族平等的权利。
Hui nationality is an important member of our national family, the existing population of 7,219,352 people. The Hui people are also the most widely distributed ethnic minorities in our country. They live mainly in Ningxia, Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang in the northwest of our country and some in other provinces and regions such as Beijing, Hebei, Shandong and Yunnan and all over the country. After the liberation, under the brilliant shining of the party’s national policy, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and two Hui autonomous prefectures, Changji of Xinjiang and Linxia of Gansu, and six Hui Autonomous Counties were established. Three Autonomous Counties, including Yi and Miao, respectively, were established. The Hui people from all over the country enjoy the full rights of ethnic equality.
