西丰县属布病疫区,建国后在各级党、政部门的领导下,经广大布病专业人员的共同努力,已基本查清了全县布病疫区范围,掌握了流行规律,有效地控制了布病的流行和发生,但近几年来,随着改革开放的深入发展,牲畜交易的频繁,不断引进牲畜,加之未能采取有效的检疫消毒措施,致使布病疫情传入我县(于1995年发生暴发流行),流行态势严重。我们采取了必要的措施,经过3年防治取得了明显的成效。我们的做法是:
