女性与教育密不可分。教育对她而言,既是自我素质的提高,又关系到下一代的培养,更影响着整个国民素质水平。进入新世纪,教育改革使教育事业步入了一个教育资源优化、办学形式多样、各类教育并举的新阶段。女性在充分享受各种教育的同时,在社会经济发展过程中的作用也越来越突出。当我们由衷地为女性教育取得的成绩感到自豪的时候。也应当清醒地看到我市女性教育的发展还面临着艰巨的任务。教育是人力资本形成和国民素质提高的主要途径,是社会发展和社会文明程度的综合反映。女性作为人类社会活动中的重要组成部分,教育对她而言,一是自我素质的提高。二是与下一代的培养紧密相关,三是直接影响着整个国民素质水平的高低。随着知识经济时代的到来。教育改革使教育环境日趋优越,第五次人口普查资料显示,全市女性较过去10年里平均受教育年数提升了约1.5年。女性在充分享受教育的同时,在教育领域中的地位和作用也与日俱增,目前全市有近1.42万名女性从事教书育人的工作。
