中国广播电视教育目前面临严峻形势.自1979年电大复校以来,前几年,在校生人数呈逐年增加的趋势,如1979年全国电大在校生总数为28万多人,至1985年已增至69万多人.从1986年开始,电大在校生人数逐年减少,至1988年,全国电大在校生总数已降到45万多人.在校生人数锐减的现实,困扰着广大广播电视教育工作者,“生源”问题已成为关心电大发展的人们的热门话题.如何认识电大“生源”问题如何看待和分析这个严酷的现实,电大教职员工是“仁者见仁,智者见智”,综合各方面的看法,目前人们对这一问题的认识大致如下:
