我场是一九五六年建场,是我州建场最早的一个,位于天山西部,州的北部山区是一个边防林场。这里生长着茂密的云杉林,有林面积二万余亩,蓄积量十七万立方米,森林分部长达九十二公里,平均宽二十公里的范围里面,人工更新保存面积二千余亩,百分之八十以上成活,最高生长有三米多高,可望成林。林场职工三十一人,人员少经营面积大,每年给国家生产二千多立方米木材。林场主要任务是:保护和扩大开发利用森林资源,为社会主义建设提供木材,同时还有反修防特,保卫边防的光荣任务。二十余年来,为我州的社会主义建设做出了贡献。
