农村消防工作是农村公安工作的重要组成部分。党的十五届三中全会通过的《中共中央关于农业和农村工作若干重大问题的决定》,给农村公安工作提出了新的要求,同样也给农村消防工作提出了更高要求。在当前深入贯彻落实《中华人民共和国消防法》的过程中,剖析农村消防工作现状,研究加强农村消防工作的对策措施,对于维护农村治安大局稳定,保护人民群众生命财产安全,服务农业、农村现代化建设和社会各项事业发展具有重要意义。三门县公安局副局长胡子荣同志在对当前农村消防工作现状深入调查后,给本刊发来特稿,对当前农村消防工作的问题、原因及对策提出了独到见解。
