The limitations and existing problems of continuous casting production mode using mold vibration are described. The types of defects and their causes are analyzed. The principle and superiority of newly developed non-vibrating crystallizer are introduced. How to produce high quality round billet, round billet and hollow billet by non-vibrating crystallizer is introduced.
