The Oligocene sedimentary sequences of Taatsiin Gol and Taatsiin Tsagaan Nuur have important stratigraphic significance: the exposed Sanda and Loh formations contain multiple fossil and basaltic sediments. In the Mongolia-Austria cooperation project, 289 fossils (11 gastropods, 2 amphibians, 9 reptiles and 267 mammals) were collected from 85 fossil formations in 33 profile / fossil sites in the study area ). This article provides a complete list of mammals in all locations and updates to the informal biomes, A, B, C and C1, in Mongolia, in combination with new material from both large and small mammals. The 40Ar / 39Ar dating provides at least two groups of basaltic ages: about 31.5 Ma for the Early Oligocene basalts I and about 28 Ma for the Late Oligocene basalts II. They can be used as a calibration point for the Oligocene mammalian stratigraphy. From Early Oligocene to late Oligocene, significant changes have taken place in the mammalian assemblages, including a marked decrease in late-Oligocene populations. This trend is most prominent in meat, meat and ruminants.
