河北省农林科学院棉花研究所承担了国家“七五”期间重点攻关课题“高优势棉花新杂交种选育”的任务。邯郸地区农科所为协作单位。三年来,经科技人员的努力,在棉花三系配套上取得了重大突破;在选育高优势棉花新杂交组合上取得了很大进展。一、在棉花三系配套研究方面:邯郸地区农科所贾占昌同志利用陆地棉与海岛棉杂交,经七年反复自交,兄妹交及连续选择,完成了棉花雄性不育系、保持系、恢复系三系配套。1989年8月28日,由河北省农科院与中国农科院棉花研究所共同组织了专家验收,鉴定。专家们认为此项研究取得了突破性的重大进展,在国际上至今未见报导。二、高优势棉花杂交组合选育方面:河北省农科院棉花研究所利用品种间杂交,选育出抗病、配合力
