从抗过氧化脂质、抗特异性刺激、提高免疫功能方面观察了绞股蓝延缓衰老过程的作用，实验表明绞股蓝对动物具有提高小鼠体内超氧化物歧化酶（ＳＯＤ） 活性、有效地降低小鼠体内过氧化脂质（ＬＰＯ）作用，提高、改善机体免疫力及明显增强机体抗疲劳、抗缺氧、耐高温的能力，且毒性甚微。
The effect of Gynostemma pentaphyllum on anti-aging process was observed from the perspective of anti-peroxidation lipids, anti-specific stimulation, and enhancement of immune function. The experiment showed that Gynostemma pentaphyllum has the ability to increase superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in mice and effectively reduce mice. The role of lipid peroxidation (LPO) in the body improves and improves the body’s immunity and significantly enhances the body’s ability to resist fatigue, hypoxia, and high temperature resistance with little toxicity.
