Objective To explore the main psychological burden factors and effective countermeasures for breast cancer patients after surgery. Methods A self-designed life event questionnaire, SAS anxiety self-rating scale and SDS self-rating depression scale were used to conduct a written survey of 74 cases of breast cancer between six months and five years after surgery. Results The patient’s psychological burden is mainly concerned with recurrence, discrimination, and feelings of inferiority. Its severity is mainly related to social support, education level, and the number of years of operation time. There is no significant difference with age. Conclusion The main psychological burden of patients after breast cancer is through the basic knowledge of breast cancer; the patient feels that the medical staff pays attention to them and cares for their loved ones. Most of the psychological problems can be solved quickly, and a few have more severe anxiety and depressive symptoms. The patient may ask the cardiologist to participate in the treatment.
