回首往事,再现于我心目中的方干民教授是一位德高艺高的油画大师和美术教育家。他所生活的时代,起始于“五四”新文化运动蓬勃发展时期,受着民主主义思潮的影响,心怀抱负,追求新学,在巴黎美专勤学多年,业成归国,投身于美术教育界,以西洋画参与当时中国画坛新兴改革之风,数十年如一日,培养出众多高水平的青年学子。 我是1935年考入林风眠担任校长的国立杭州艺术专科学校绘画系预科,有幸编入主导教授方干民的教室,我在他长期艺术教导下,打下了较好的素描与色彩基础并获得丰富的艺术知识。
